16 - The Trader Joe’s Shooting & Hostage Situation

This week's episode is about a shooting and dangerous hostage situation that happened at a Trader Joe's in Los Angeles on July 21st, 2018. Gene Atkins was struggling with his relationships at home when he decided to shoot his grandmother and girlfriend. This then led to a police chase, a car crash, and shootout outside of Trader Joe's. When innocent shoppers and employees lives change in a matter of seconds, it'll take strength and trust in one another to work with the assailant in order to survive.
